The Home for Dinner Program @ Ronald McDonald House™ Northern Alberta
“I enjoyed each and every Home for Dinner. It saved me time having to cook – being
at the hospital, it’s not always easy to set aside the time to cook for my
family. I really appreciate coming home to the volunteer-made meals.”
– Ning Upton, parent of Sophia, age 4

You know what it's like to come home from a crazy busy work day and have to fight to find the energy to make dinner and feed your family. Multiply that exponentially and you have a slight bit of insight into life as a parent of a critically ill child, staying at the incredible Ronald McDonald House™ in Edmonton.
Having a nutricious dinner prepared at the end of an emotionally and physically trying day by the hands of community volunteers is sometimes the only part of the day that these families truly get to 'decompress' from the stresses and struggles of supporting a critically ill child.
The smiles and warm appreciation that the families give the Home for Dinner volunteers tell it all: This program makes a difference.
