BELLIES

Kristi Larson is owner of Bellies - a maternity and baby boutique in Spruce
Grove, AB. Bellies is a trendy boutique that specializes in providing superior
products and service for all things birth and beyond. Bellies offers a serene
shopping sanctuary, whether you're looking for trendy maternity fashions, luxury
baby items, whimsical infant fashions, functional gear or a gift you can count
on fulfilling your needs at bellies. Currently our Medela products are available
for families to use in the mother's room at the Northern Alberta Ronald McDonald
House.
Kristi is also a proud member of the Rotary Club of Parkland Afterdark and
the owner of Blueframe Photographics, a photography studio specializing in
maternity and newborn photography. My experience photographing and working with
expectant mothers and babies made me fall in love with this stage in a person's
life. A maternity and baby boutique was a very natural transition from my
photography.
Local4Local4Local spoke to me in many ways. I have always wanted to volunteer
for a charity that helps children and their families. I also want to make
a difference in my community and support local businesses in any way that I can.
So participating in a project like local4local4local was a 'no brainer'.
Being able to come together with like-minded businesses, supporting local
businesses in order to provide one of the comforts of home to families dealing
with the stress of having a sick child is amazing. Giving that family one less
thing to think about on day where there life has been turned upside down and
backwards is a reward in itself.

DALY STOCK
http://www.dalystock.com/
780-920-2102
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” Words of wisdom that
bring everyday challenge, personally and professionally to do the common,
uncommonly well. These words ring true especially as I am a “hands on” learner
and driven by the challenges that brings along the way. At Daly Stock the
process and end result are equally important. A photo worth its “stock” is
passionately shot with the ability to both captivate and fascinate not only its
intended audience, but all who encounter it. The stage upon which to make this
happen is the world of endless possibilities around us each day, from the
simplicity of a smile to the complexity of the face behind the smile.
It is my goal to have the eye and imagination to take the
“ordinary” and make it “extraordinary” in the images produced. If you are
interested in working together on a project, I would love to hear from you.
As I travel to and experience different places in the world, I realize more
and more how incredibly blessed we are in Canada, but more specifically in the
city of Edmonton… yes even in the dead of winter! Our health care system, flawed
as it may be, is second to none, particularly in the area of childrens’ health
care. Though I am not a parent myself, I have been told more than once by
parents that their most difficult and draining moments are when their kids are
sick. I admit I hadn’t walked through the doors of The Ronald McDonald House
until last month, and was just going to 'cook supper'. What I didn’t expect was
the “full meal deal” it ended up being for me; before the evening was finished I
knew I would be back again to cook more suppers. As I get older the sense of
“community” is of greater importance and influences more strongly what I choose
to fill my time with. The house itself in layout and design is amazing, which is
how it should be as it becomes “home” for so many families. What most impressed
me, though, was the sense of community created by the genuine care and concern
of the staff for the families and volunteers coupled with an honest desire to
create relationships. The added bonus to getting involved with Local4Local4Local
is the emphasis on “Supporting Local” and getting better acquainted with other
small business owners/entrepreneurs.

KOCH FORD LINCOLN
http://www.kochford.com/
780-434-8411
For almost fifty years, we’ve been around. Many of those fifty years we’ve been
on this same corner. The cars have become smaller, sleeker, lighter, more
efficient, but the family-owned, family-oriented business that is Koch Ford
continues. The founding brothers are no longer active in the management, but the
next Koch generation is. As always, the Koch name stands for Keeping Our Customers Happy.
It is not unusual at Koch to find that the next generation (or two) of
customers keeps coming back too. For sales, for service, for autobody work, this
long term dealership sees long term customers, too. At Koch, we ardently strive
to make sure that our customers are completely satisfied ~ is there any other
way of building relationships with customers?
And Koch builds relationships in other ways too. Many charities benefit from
Koch values of helping others. The Koch family may be very discreet about the
charities it supports, but giving back is part of the fundamental family values
by which the Koch family lives.

SANDYVIEW FARMS
http://www.sandyviewfarms.com/

SandyView Farms is a local family owned deli, custom processor, caterer, and
restaurant “The Loft”, located in Spruce Grove. Our second location at The
Enjoy Center, in St. Albert is a full service delicatessen. We provide
quality and flavour that you would expect to find on the farm, without adding
MSG or fillers. We offer fresh cut meats and sausages, homemade perogies,
cabbage rolls, pre-made meals, European and specialty groceries and much, much
more...
"Family” tugs hard on our heart strings. We are parents, and the thought
of having a child going through an illness or trauma is heartbreaking. Our
thoughts and prayers go out to all of the children and their families who have
to endure these difficult times. We didn’t have to think twice about
coming aboard with Local4Local4Local; if providing a good home cooked meal means
helping out in the smallest way for these families, it is the least we can do.

TIME OUT BEAUTY RETREAT
http://www.timeoutbeautyretreat.com/
780-960-3666
Time Out Beauty Retreat is a family friendly salon and spa located in Spruce
Grove. The vision of a salon and spa with child care was brought to life by Erin
VanOene, a mother of two young boys who found it difficult to arrange child care
in a new town so that she might go for a pedicure or to have her hair done.
Time Out Beauty Retreat offers a full salon menu, including cuts, colors,
styling and extensions. It also offers a complete spa menu, ranging from hair
removal, body and facial treatments to pedicures, massage therapy, gel nails, a
private ‘Shangri-La’ room with an infra-red sauna and steam shower and child care.
Time Out Beauty Retreat’s mission statement is “A well deserved minute” and
in this crazy life it is hard to give ourselves the permission to take some
time. We believe that in order to be the best you can be for your family or at
work you must invest in yourself. So take an hour for you, with or without
children ~ Time Out Beauty Retreat will be happy to be your haven!
Time Out Beauty Retreat is very excited to be apart of Local 4 Local 4 Local.
Not only does Erin have a passion for food, (creating as well as eating!) but
she can think of no better way to give back to the community than to be of
service at the Ronald McDonald House. Having spent a week in a hostel room at
the Royal Alex when her youngest son was born and needed to be in NICU, she can
appreciate what these families are facing.

Timeless Edge Photography is a local Edmonton photography company specializing
in family portrait, wedding, and corporate photography. Linda Patterson, owner,
has a deep passion of both photography, and giving back to the community through
many charitable organizations.
Our family has first-hand experience of how contributions to
charitable organizations can help. Our daughter was born with a rare condition
that required some very serious medical care. The unconditional contributions of
charitable organizations and their volunteers certainly had an impact on the
positive outcome of her health. She is now a beautiful and healthy young woman,
and we are so grateful every day for those who helped us get through those tough times.
With a special interest in portraiture, Timeless Edge Photography creates
trusting, comfortable, and relaxed relationships with their clients. Getting to
know the people they photograph is important to how they approach the production
of their images. Understanding our clients and their story provides the insight
needed to create the images that reflect who they are, and the memories they are making.
The success of Linda and her business has come from her commitment to providing the most
personal and professional services possible. Timeless Edge Photography has been
providing photography services to the Edmonton community for several years.
Services range from family portrait photography, weddings, corporate, and event photography.
